In a Homophones lesson, Year 6 students (aged 9-10) were asked to create a multimedia book in Pic Collage and Shadow Puppet. They then put them on EdPuzzle and each child inserted questions into their film for the others to answer. They had so much fun making these!
Reading in EFL - Year 3 students (ages 6-7) made these films of themselves in Pic Collage where they removed the background, creating new ones then assembling in Shadow Puppet.
Using Popplet in Year 4 (7 to 8 year olds) EFL classes - in this case asking students to find words that use the long i sound.
In these MindMapping examples made in Popplet, Year 6 (Aged 9-10 year olds) were asked to create identity maps of themselves in their new language.
English Year 7 ( Aged 9-10) Acrostic Poems, Steve Krout, Switzerland
The Year 7 English as an additional language students wrote acrostic poems with the words Spring Flower, or Spring Season in their English notebooks. After editing their poems, they created a pic-collage of their poems and added pictures to highlight the Spring season. This was a non-graded writing activity and I was pleasantly surprised with their level of expression in a non-native language.
